Amendments to the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction and Certain Other Acts with respect to, inter alia, the cultivation of fibrous hemp and the cultivation of hemp other than fibrous (medical marijuana)

On 23 March the Seym adopted amendments to the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction and Certain Other Acts concerning, inter alia, the cultivation of fibre hemp and the cultivation of hemp other than fibre (medical marihuana). The acts adopted by the Seym will be forwarded to the President. 

The introduced modifications concern, inter alia
- as regards hemp other than fibrous (medical marijuana) - THC above 0.3% converted into dry matter, the possibility of its cultivation in Poland by research institutes supervised by the minister responsible for agriculture, after meeting the conditions set out in the act, including the authorisation of the GIF, cultivation is to be conducted for the purpose of producing pharmaceutical raw material (https://lnkd.in/dx_4ZekQ )
