EFSA on the safety of CBD use

The question of the possibility of using CBD in food, including dietary supplements, may soon become clear.  EFSA's opinion on the safety of CBD use is expected as early as 30 April 2022. (https://lnkd.in/dx_KMpzJ).   By the end of the year, i.e. on 15 November 2022, decisions on the Novel food applications for synthetic CBD and Cannabis Sativa extracts are in turn planned (https://lnkd.in/gJK52-nQ, https://lnkd.in/dVv2KfWz, https://lnkd.in/dRVMmBqb).  Significantly, however, all applicants have filed for data protection, which will give them exclusivity to market their products for 5 years. However, let us not forget about the above-mentioned EFSA opinion - perhaps the safety of CBD use will be confirmed for all foodstuffs!  Food & Farma legal is constantly monitoring all developments.
