Deputy Health Minister: the Ministry considers further restrictions in pharmacist’s profession and rules for pharmacy managers

According to rynekzdrowia.pl, the Ministry analyses the possibility of broadening the prohibition on performing the profession of a pharmacist and other medical professions at the same time. The Ministry focuses on detailed rules on joining the functions of manager of a public, hospital, workplace and general pharmacy as well as pharmacy points. New rules as regard professional responsibility of pharmacists are also to be regulated.

The Deputy Minister stresses the problems involving the pharmacy concentration rules, particularly the lack of a legal definition of a “foreign network of pharmacies” which would allow for the assessment of the degree to which foreign capital is engaged in running business entities registered in Poland.
