Confirmation of THC limit of 50 μg in a single serving of a food in the UK

On 17 December 2021. The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) has published a report on foods containing cannabinoids. In the report, the ACMD recommends that THC levels in a single serving of the product (consumed at one time) should not exceed 50 micrograms. Furthermore, the ACMD pointed out in the report that plant-derived CBD products do not contain an amount of phytocannabinoids that could cause psychoactive effects unless they are additionally enriched, and noted that analyses show that phytocannabinoids present in CBD foods do not cause side effects.
