Extension of the list of chemical forms of mineral components for the manufacture of food supplements

On 18 December 2021, an amendment to the Regulation of the Minister of Health on the composition and labelling of dietary supplements came into force. The list of chemical forms of mineral ingredients that can be used in the production of dietary supplements was extended to include:

* nicotinamide riboside chloride  
* magnesium malate citrate

This modification results from the need to implement the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/418 of 9 March 2021, which extended the list of chemical forms of mineral ingredients that may be used in the manufacture of dietary supplements to include nicotinamide riboside chloride and magnesium malate citrate.
