Ministry of Health: New legislation on advertising of medicinal products

A draft regulation amending the MZ Regulation on the advertising of medicinal products was published on 8 April 2022. The draft provides, among other things, for changes in the content of warnings in advertisements of medicinal products directed to the public. The familiar "Read the package leaflet before use (...) is to be replaced with a different wording of warnings. Interestingly, each new version of the advertisement will have to use a different warning, the content of which is set out in detail in the draft. It is also planned to clarify the way of placing warnings in advertisements and to waive the obligation to indicate contraindications to the use of a medicinal product in advertisements directed to the public. 
The draft regulation was referred to public consultation. Comments can be submitted until 8 May 2022.
